Fashion press were lured to Costa Mesa this week for a private four-course dinner from Marché Moderne and a tour of the boutiques in South Coast Plaza's new 20,000-square-foot ultra-upscale wing, The Penthouse.
We get the lowdown from CAN's Trade Talk and Fashion Rules! Along with St. John's new contemporary line/boutique SoCa, Christian Louboutin, Canali and Oscar de la Renta are currently housed in the wing. Per Trade Talk: "it will also house a second-floor expansion for the Louis Vuitton boutique, which is located on South Coast Plaza’s second floor," and Prada and Miu Miu are coming in spring '09.
Fashion Rules! reports press "ooohing and ahhing over the fact that YSL has different handbags and shoes at South Coast’s Penthouse—that Louboutin actually stocks different shoes—and that Oscar de la Renta has dresses there we’ve never seen."
Two vacant spaces, already leased, were not yet revealed.
