NBC4 Orange County Bureau Chief Vikki Vargas and Reporter Annette Arreola were among more than 300 guests at Cal State Fullerton’s Department of Communications Awards Ceremony on May 6.
Annette Arreola was the evening’s emcee, and Vikki Vargas presented the Vikki Vargas/NBC4 Broadcast Journalism Scholarship. Both are graduates of the Department of Communications.
The ceremony honored top graduates in journalism, public relations, advertising, entertainment and tourism, and photocommunications, and awarded more than $40,000 in scholarships to continuing students.
The Department of Communications at Cal State Fullerton is among the largest mass communications programs in the United States. More than 800 students will graduate from the Department later this month.
