A man was in critical condition Monday after he was shot while driving in the Willowbrook area and crashed his Toyota Prius into parked cars, authorities said.
The shooting was reported at 11:55 p.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of El Segundo Boulevard, Lt. Richard Ruiz of the Century sheriff's station said.
The man inside was shot in the upper body and taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood.
The car had an Uber sticker in the windshield. Investigators were attempting to determine whether the man was shot while transporting passengers.
Two men were seen running from the car, witnesses told investigators. They got out of the rear seats and ran eastbound on El Segundo Boulevard.
The wounded victim continued to drive a short distance before colliding with parked vehicles.
