What You're Doing Tonight: Feb. 9

REMY REGALES US: Okay, we know, there've been one or two or five big animated movies since "Ratatouille," but we still can't get that little furry gourmand out of our hearts. Nor Mr. Patton Oswalt, who so winningly brought the be-clawed culinaire to life. The man who was arguably the most famous rodent of the last decade stops by the Irvine Improv to say extremely hilarious things. Did we also mention we like his turn as a medieval faire enthusiast on "Reno 911"? Ye olde awesomeness. Monday, February 9 and Monday, February 16 (8PM both nights). 71 Fortune Drive, #841, Irvine. 949-854-5455

MEET NITRO OF "AMERICAN GLADIATORS": "The Wrestler" is a film we've been talking about a lot over the last few months, and so naturally the story of Dan Clark, a talented athlete who gained fame as Nitro on "American Gladiators," intrigues. He became a mega, muscly star on the grrr-smash reality sensation, got into steroids, got out of control. But it isn't all grim. He's penned an in-depth book with a title that ends on a hopeful note: "Gladiator: A True Story of 'Roids, Rage, and Redemption." Count us very intrigued... Monday, February 9, 7PM. Book Soup, 8818 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood. 310-659-3110
