What You're Doing Tonight: June 2nd

A SPIN ON EDUCATIONAL FILMS: We adore a short, stern movie that teaches us the value of brushing hair 100 times a day, or the wonders of paper. Artist Brian Dewan has created his own films that contain unexpected lessons that may not be true, but could boast truth. Another plus of the evening: autoharp. And live accordion. Silent Movie Theatre, 8PM

FREE FAMILY NIGHT: It's the first Tuesday of the month, which translates into pay-no-admission night at Kidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena. The free hours run from 4-8PM, and the things to see are plentiful and tot-perky. That giant kaleidoscope makes our head cha-cha, in a good way.

YELP RESTAURANT WEEK: The review site is focusing on meals that are Miracle Mile-ish, though not every restaurant is on Wilshire. Included: Luna Park, Susina Bakery, Electric Karma. Restaurant Week is on through June 5; eye all the spots and specials.
