A preliminary invesigation indicated that a motorist was struck and killed after exiting a disabled vehicle Wednesday morning on the 405 Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass.
The investigation forced northbound lane closures throughout the morning.

The victim was identified as 52-year-old Scott Belkin, according to the LA County Coroner.
The crash occurred just south of the Getty Center Drive exit at about 5:30 a.m. One lane was open during a crash investigation that continues during the morning drive.
One lane remained closed at mid-day.
