CHP shut down all lanes on the westbound side of the freeway between San Gabriel and Paramount boulevards. They also began diverting traffic off of the freeway at San Gabriel Boulevard as traffic was jammed from Azusa.

The eastbound side was also slow from the 5 Freeway to San Gabriel.

By 7:30 p.m., two lanes were open on the freeway, but the on-ramp from San Gabriel to the westbound 60 Freeway remained closed, CHP said.
