Amazon to Hire Seasonal Workers in Southern California

Officials at online retail giant Amazon.com announced Thursday that they will hire 80,000 temporary workers for the upcoming holiday season -- including at four facilities in Southern California.

Amazon plans to hire thousands of workers in California, including at two faciltiies in San Bernardino, one in Redlands and one in Moreno Valley, Amazon spokeswoman Ashley Robinson said. The latter two facilities just opened in the past few months.

Robinson said the hiring process has already begun, and those hired will work until the end of the year.

She added that last year, 10,000 seasonal workers were picked up full-time, and the company plans to hire plenty this year as well.
