A man's body was found Monday in Anaheim, and the death was being investigated as a homicide, police reported.
The man, who was in his 20s, was discovered dead near a dumpster in a business park in the 1600 block of Sinclair Street about 6:30 a.m., said Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
The man apparently had suffered some sort of trauma, but other details were not being released, Wyatt said. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
Police declined to confirm broadcast reports that a security camera at a nearby business recorded images indicating that the body was abandoned from a vehicle that drove up overnight.
Another security camera across Sinclair Street recorded a vehicle with headlights off drive up to the dumpster, according to a worker who told NBC4 the video was described to him.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
