A stretch of the Riverside (91) Freeway was closed for two hours Tuesday after a driver of a truck carrying 20 tons of asphalt lost control and spilled his load across three lanes of the highway.
The spill was reported at 1:27 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway at Adams Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. It reopened at 3:37 p.m., said CHP Officer Travis Monks.
There were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
