Authorities Confiscate Assault Rifles, 40 Pounds of Marijuana During La Habra Search

Three people also arrested on various charges.

Police in La Habra confiscated more than 30 weapons and arrested three people Thursday after executing search warrants, La Habra police said.

Around 3 a.m., authorities served search warrants at three residences, including the 1400 block of W. Lambert Road, the 1200 block of N. Cypress Street, and the 600 block of S. Palm Street, according to the La Habra Police Department.

Authorities confiscated 11 assault rifles, 25 handguns, 12 illegal rifle magazines, and parts to build 12 assault rifles. About 40 pounds of marijuana was also seized, according to the La Habra Police Department.

LHPD detectives arrested Adam Kinney, 28, Grant David Winn, 30, and Christina Thompson, 25, on various drug charges and misdemeanor child endangerment in connection to the items discovered, police said.

La Habra Police Department was assisted by the North County SWAT team, Placentia Police, ATF, HSI and the Orange County Probation and Parole department, according to the La Habra Police Department.

The search were the result of an on-going narcotics investigation.
