One person was killed and two were injured Tuesday in a crash involving at least two vehicles in the Westwood area, officials said.
The crash was reported around 1:50 a.m. near the intersection of Wilshire and Beverly Glen boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and two were transported to a hospital in unknown condition, police said.
The person who died was a passenger in the front seat. The name of the dead person, described only as a male, was withheld until family notification, the coroner's office reported.
The crash involved a Chevrolet Camaro and a van. A witness said the Camaro was moving at a high rate of speed. Police were still investigating if speed was a factor.
The cause of the crash was unknown.
The intersection was shut down until further notice, police said.
