Person Found Dead in South LA Garage Fire

On Friday, a person was found dead on at the scene of a fire in a garage that was converted for residential use in South Los Angeles.

Firefighters sent to the 1800 block of West 75th Street about 7:20 a.m. quickly extinguished the flames and found the body of the person, described only as a male, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Information was not immediately available on the age or identity of the fatally injured male.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
