Authorities have identified the body of a man who fell overboard while fishing on Lake Irvine over the weekend.
Divers on Sunday recovered the body of Clarence Brumfield, 61, of Palmdale submerged in 25 feet of water near the location where he was last seen, officials said.
Brumfield went missing Saturday after he fell off a pontoon boat while fishing with a friend. Neither of the men were wearing life jackets.
The man's companion told rescuers he heard a splash at the back of the boat and got pulled into the water while trying to help his friend, but neither could swim very well.
