A woman was found dead near the 138 Freeway in unincorporated Lebec Sunday, prompting an investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies were called out to Gorman Post Road off of the 138 Freeway just before 5 p.m. after a woman was found dead.
The woman was found at the end of the road, the Santa Clarita station said.
Deputies said she suffered some head trauma, but it wasn't clear if someone harmed her or if she fell out of her car.
The investigation was ongoing.
