Journey from Prison to Paradise Ends on Pavement

The incredible life story of exonerated murder suspect DeWayne McKinney ended early Tuesday morning in Honolulu when he crashed a scooter into a lightpole and was thrown to the pavement. McKinney moved to Hawaii after he was released from prison after 19 years served for a murder he maintains he did not commit. The ex-con parlayed a legal settlement into a multi-million dollar fortune in the ATM industry and lived in an oceanfront mansion. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and died from his injuries.
