One Dead, Three Injured in Overnight Car Crash

As a result of the crash, the Metro Blue Line at Pico Boulevard and Flower Street is shut down

One man was killed and three others injured in a two-car collision in downtown Los Angeles Saturday morning.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Flower Street around 2:30 a.m.

A silver Chevy was traveling southbound on Flower Street when it t-boned a red vehicle that was traveling on Pico Boulevard, according to LAPD. The cars landed on a nearby track of the Metro Blue Line.

Two females were in the silver Chevy when it struck the red vehicle. The red vehicle was driven by a female and had a male passenger. The male passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are investigating the crash as a homicide and are looking into the possibility that the driver of the silver Chevy was intoxicated.

As of 6 a.m., the Metro Blue Line was shut down until further notice.
