Dig in, Find Deals at Dine Out Long Beach

The two-course brunch and lunch menus kick off at ten bucks.

COUNTING OUT THE CASH... before heading out to a restaurant for brunch, lunch, or dinner? If you know the eatery well, you're going to know just how far your money will stretch, meaning that you can go ahead and order your favorite dish with the knowledge that you'll have plenty for a solid tip and to cover the tax, too. But when we visit a new spot, one we've been wanting to try out, we're not quite as comfortable nor as confident as popping by a place we've frequented a dozen times before. This is where Restaurant Weeks so ably comes to the assistance of dedicated eater-outers. The every-so-often events that pop up in various neighborhoods and cities encourage us to break out of our routines and sup at fresh-to-us spots, all while knowing exactly how much various two- and three-course menus will be, with the addition of tax and tip, of course. And a large-scale, week-long Restaurant Week has just kicked off in Long Beach, delivering two-course brunches and lunches that begin at ten dollars and three-course dinners that start at $20 a pop. It's...

DINE OUT LONG BEACH, and it is celebrating its third annual grubful go-around from Sunday, Feb. 25 through Saturday, March 3. The neighborhood line-up is large, with Bluff Park, Naples Island, and 4th Street — Retro Row all serving up great spots to dine. Restaurants include Naples Rib Company, Pietris Bakery, Vue Bar + Restaurant, and Open Sesame. As for getting super-duper fancy during Dine Out Long Beach? As mentioned, $10 and $20 are the opening prices, but more extravagant experiences will be a bit more (you see exactly how much ahead of choosing where you go). The Grunion Gazette is behind all of this gourmet, fill-up, feel-sated sweetness, and the #Selfoodie Contest? That's totally happening, too, so read up and get photographing the food in front of you (and, yep, yourself, too). Your restaurants, your dine-around neighborhoods, and all of the LBC-y foodie fun you desire may be found by starting here.
