These painted piano crosswalks remind us of the Tom Hanks' movie "Big."

The city of Long Beach is tuning up on road safety with these monster keyboard crosswalks on Long Beach Boulevard and Bixby Road.

City officials say that the ivory keys will also help energize the neighborhood about new businesses nearby.

They're not permanent yet -- the keys were painted with the same type of paint used for other crosswalks.

But if they strike a chord with pedestrians and drivers, city officials will keep them.

Are you going to try to play Chopsticks with your feet as you cross the street?
