    Some five people were hospitalized after a crash in Los Alamitos on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017.

    Some five people were in critical condition Wednesday after a car struck four people at an intersection in the Orange County city of Los Alamitos, officials said.

    Four people were standing in the northwest corner of the intersection of Bloomfield Street and Ball Road when they were struck by a two-door sedan around 2 p.m., Los Alamitos police said in a statement. The car stopped in the drive through of a business, but did not hit the building itself. 

    The pedestrians and the driver were all in critical condition, fire officials said.

    What led up to the crash was not immediately clear.
