2.9-Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Silver Lake Area

A 2.9-magnitude earthquake shook the Silver Lake area Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake hit at 2:16 a.m. southeast of Silver Lake at a depth of 4 miles, the USGS reported.

Residents in El Sereno, Burbank and Koreatown reported feeling the temblor. 

No injuries or structural damages were immediately reported.
