The driver behind the vehicle involved in a high-speed chase was arrested behind bushes near the Northbound 605 Freeway transition to the Westbound 10 Freeway late Friday.
The Montebello Police Department responded to a vehicle with expired tags just before 11 p.m. in Montebello. The driver failed to yield, prompting a 15-minute pursuit that ended near Baldwin Park.
The vehicle crashed into a freeway barrier before the driver fled the scene on foot. Police had their guns drawn towards a bush off the freeway, where the driver was hiding. Two other passengers in the vehicle were also arrested.
The high-speed chase exceeded at least over 80 mph through surface streets and freeways.
