AA Passenger Met By FBI After In-Flight Rant

Witness says man claimed explosives were on board

An American Airlines passenger was taken into custody at LAX on Friday morning after flight attendants noticed the man was acting suspiciously and spending a lot of time in the lavatory, an airline spokesman said.

The male passenger was met by FBI agents upon Flight 2401's arrival at LAX from Dallas-Fort Worth, American Airlines spokesman Ed Martelle said.

Another passenger posted online that the man claimed explosives were on the flight.

Martelle was unable to confirm if any threats were made, but he did say that no explosives were found on the plane.

The 757 landed at LAX's Gate 42B about 7:45 a.m. There were 139 passengers onboard.
