Los Angeles police made an arrest Friday after finding an officer's shotgun that fell off the back of a police motorcycle in South LA one day earlier, officials said.

The shotgun went missing Thursday after it fell from the motorbike on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, prompting a more than 12-hour search for the weapon.

The gun was found Friday a few miles from where it was taken, and police arrested Takee Williams, 43, of Los Angeles, in connection with the theft, officials said.
