Three lanes were closed on the 5 Freeway Tuesday night after a big rig carrying chemicals crashed, authorities said.
The crash was reported around 11:40 p.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near Vista Del Lago Road in the Pyramid Lake area, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Fire officials said no chemicals were leaking from the crash but due to the chemicals the truck was carrying suggested the lanes be shut down.
No injuries were reported.
The three southbound lanes were expected to remain closed until about 10:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. All northbound lanes remained open.
