Three people were seriously hurt in a crash that sent a big rig careening into the center divider of the 210 Freeway in Pasadena on Monday, forcing the closure of two westbound lanes for hours, officials said.
The crash took place about 2:40 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said. At least one other vehicle was involved in the collision.
Two lanes of the freeway east of Rosemead Boulevard were shut down. All lanes were re-opened by 8 p.m.
The big rig came to rest next to a stretch of Metro Gold Line train tracks that are under construction, the Pasadena Fire Department said.
Three people were taken to the hospital.
