Crash Sends Vehicle Into Power Lines in Huntington Beach

Three people were taken to hospitals Saturday after a two-vehicle crash that overturned a pickup truck and sent it crashing into a light pole and an apartment building, authorities said.

The crash was reported about 6:20 p.m. at Edwards Street and Warner Avenue, the Huntington Beach Fire Department tweeted.

Firefighters had to wait while Southern California Edison confirmed there was no power in the lines before stabilizing the pole and freeing two patients from the truck. There was one patient from the other vehicle.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area during the clean-up.
