Gas Prices Fall, But Not By Much

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell two-tenths of a cent Tuesday to $3.124, a day after being unchanged.
  
The average price is one-tenth of a cent less than a week ago, but 1.4 cents more than a month ago and 28.6 cents more than this time last year, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
  
The Orange County average rose seven-tenths of a cent today to $3.118, a day after falling 1.3 cents.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell one-tenth of a cent today to $3.132, a day after rising four-tenths of a cent.
  
The Orange County average price is four-tenths of a cent less than a week ago, but 1 cent more than a month ago and 28.9 cents more than this time last year.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire fell one-tenth of a cent today to $3.105, a day after falling three-tenths of a cent.
  
The national average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline was unchanged today, remaining at $2.742, 2.3 cents more than a week ago and 24.2 cents more than this time last year, but 1.3 cents less than a month ago.
  
California's gasoline price is typically among the highest in the nation because of taxes and the state's ``boutique blend'' of fuel designed to reduce polluting emissions, Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California told City News Service.
