Graduation Flash Mob Ends With Wedding Proposal

The surprise proposal at Cal State Fullerton on Sunday was caught on video

Rocio Almaraz thought she was delivering a big surprise to the crowd at her Cal State Fullerton graduation, but the real surprise came when her boyfriend got down on one knee.

Almaraz choreographed a flash mob dance that she and her fellow Human Services graduates performed on the grass inside Titan Stadium on Sunday. It was her way of thanking family and friends.

Among those in attendance to watch her receive her bachelor's degree was her boyfriend, Alex Carrillo, who had a surprise of his own.

During the final song of the flash mob dance, Carrillo unrolled a huge banner, asking Almaraz to marry him. He had even prepared for the same flash mob to continue dancing while he proposed.

Almaraz was so caught up in her dance, her friends had to nudge her to get her to notice the sign. When she finally realized what was going on, she ran over to Carrillo, who was waiting with a rose and a ring.

Almaraz and Carrillo hope to walk down the aisle in 2014.
