Grandfather Gunned Down in San Pedro, Mourners Beg for Justice

Loved ones placed candles Thursday night around photos of Eric Guillory, a 56-year-old grandfather who was killed in a drive by shooting two earlier.

"It's just a shame, his life was snatched from us for something silly," Patricia Moseley, Guillory girlfriend says.

"They took a real live angel," Jennifer Barnes, a friend, says. "This man is what I want to be when I get to be his age. You know what I mean?"

After Tuesday's shooting, the Los Angeles Police Department's Harbor Division flooded Rancho San Pedro public housing.

"This car just stopped right there in the street and started shooting," Beverly Cherry, friend and witness, says. "He was standing right there. We didn't know he had got shot."

Guillory's 12 year old granddaughter tried to describe the loss

"This wasn't meant for him," Kimmone Lewis, the 12-year-old, says. "He was the most nicest person ever. I'm gonna miss him so much."

Those who knew him, mourned the loss Thursday.

"It's not fair to the people he touched," Moseley said. "A good man gone too soon."

She pleaded with anyone who knows who did this to contact LAPD, "Give up any information you can because a lot of souls & heart are HURT."
