A California black bear got a free trip back to the wild thanks to a state Fish and Game crew.
The roughly 150-pound bear was spotted in the 2600 block of Prospect Avenue in La Crescenta on Wednesday afternoon. Deputy Steven Toly of the La Crescenta station said wildlife, including bears, are a common sight in the foothill neighborhood, and that the bear was most likely looking for food.
Crews were able to tranquilize the animal and then take it away on a stretcher.
It will be released back in the wild, and should probably be thankful a trampoline wasn't involved.
