Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered near Lake Mathews early Tuesday.
The body was reported after 2 a.m. on the side of the road near La Sierra Avenue and Tin Mine Road (map) on the fringe of Lake Mathews, a reservoir about 10 miles east of Corona, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
The cause of death was unclear. The coroner's bureau was called to the scene.
No further information was available.
