Over a dozen patrol cars filled the street Friday night after an officer called for help during an event in South Los Angeles, police said.
Los Angeles police said the event may have been either a party or a funeral.
The event started before 6 p.m. near Avalon Boulevard and 41st Street, police said.
Aerial video showed dozens of LAPD cruisers lined up on the street.
Additional details were not clear.
