Longtime Hollywood Publicist Lee Solters Passes

Longtime Hollywood publicist Lee Solters has died. He was 89.
 
Solters' namesake public relations firm says the New York native died at his West Hollywood, Calif. home on Monday morning.
 
Solters represented some of entertainment's biggest stars, including Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, the Muppets, Mae West and Led Zeppelin. Born in Brooklyn in 1919, Solters covered high school basketball for The New York Times before establishing his own publicity firm. He worked with Broadway productions, representing "Guys and Dolls," "Funny Girl" and 300 others.
 
Solters is survived by his son and daughter, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
