A man was taken into custody in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman in South Gate on Sunday night, deputies said.
The stabbing was reported just after 7 p.m. in the 5200 block of Pendleton Avenue, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department news release. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
No additional information was immediately provided.
