Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $206M

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number are 1 in 175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website

The estimated jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions lottery drawing is $206 million since there were no tickets sold with all six numbers in Friday's drawing.

The numbers drawn Tuesday evening were 23, 32, 33, 39, 43 and the Mega number was 8.

“I'm the next Mega Million dollar winner here, at the Bluebird Liquor Store in Hawthorne,” said lottery winner hopeful Judy King earlier. “I will spread joy everywhere I can, especially to me.”

Five tickets purchased in California didn’t have the Mega number in Friday's drawing, but were among the 31 that had five numbers.

The California tickets are each worth $155,663, while the other 26 are each worth $250,000, a California Lottery official announced. California law requires most major payoffs of lottery games to be paid in pari-mutuel basis.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number are 1 in 175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website. Overall chances of winning a prize are 1 in 40.

The Mega Millions game is played in 41 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
