Nadya "Octomom" Suleman is taking a "do as I say and not as I do" approach to pets.
Outside of her La Habra home on Wednesday, the mother of 14 told a crowd of reporters and paparazzi that dogs and cats should be spayed or neutered.
"All my children have a loving home but the sad fact is … there are not nearly enough good home for the 8 million dogs and cats who enter animal shelters every year, half of whom must be euthanized due to lack of good homes," said Suleman, standing in front of a PETA banner.
And how did PETA convince the queen of in vitro to take a stand against animal overpopulation?
With a $5,000 check and some veggie burgers.
In addition to a statement to the media, Suleman has agreed to keep a PETA banner outside her home until June 9, the deadline when city officials say it must be removed, the Associated Press reported.
"It's really a win-win situation for everyone,'' PETA campaign coordinator Amanda Fortino told the AP.

Suleman has been facing foreclosure on her home; however, her lawyer has since negotiated an extension on a $450,000 mortgage payment that had been due in March.
Suleman, of Whittier, already had six children when she gave birth to octuplets on Jan. 26, 2009.
