Palmdale County Roads to Re-Open

County roads traversing the Angeles National Forest were expected to reopen Tuesday, with construction work and intermittent delays for Palmdale-to-Los Angeles motorists who drive that route.

The Angeles Forest Highway, Big Tujunga Canyon Road and Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road are all construction zones, according to the Department of Public Works.

The roads were closed Monday during the storm that dropped more than an inch of rain on the area denuded by the Station Fire. No major new damage was reported.

Angeles Crest (2) Highway will remain closed for repairs from the Angeles Forest boundary north of La Canada Flintridge to Mount Wilson Road.

Angeles Crest is also closed from Islip Saddle to Vincent Gap, due to snow and ice, according to Caltrans.

Along the coast, Rambla Pacifico between Las Flores Road and Azurelee Drive has been closed due to storm damage since February. It is expected to reopen June 30, according to Public Works.
