Three men were in custody Tuesday after allegedly driving into a group of people outside Whiskey A Go Go.
Witnesses said a fight started outside the West Hollywood club at about 11:25 p.m. Three people involved in the altercation fled in a car, which struck the pedestrians, Deputy Jeff Gordon of Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said.
At least two people were hospitalized. One remained in critical condition late Tuesday morning.
The suspect's car was pulled over at Sunset Boulevard and Doheny Road, where a deputy fired one shot, Gordon said. Authorities said the suspects were not hit by the gunfire.
Authorities said the driver pointed a dark object at a deputy. The driver, Eduardo Gomez, 20, was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, and driving under the influence causing injury, and was held on $100,000 bail, according to police.
Sunset Boulevard was closed Tuesday morning from Clark Street to Doheny Road.
