Police Search for Wanted Parolee in NoHo Neighborhood

Police have set up a perimeter around a North Hollywood neighborhood after a wanted parolee fled from officers Tuesday afternoon.

Police set up a perimeter around a North Hollywood neighborhood after a wanted parolee fled from officers Tuesday afternoon.

Officers followed a suspected stolen car to the neighborhood, where the suspect fled on foot, said LAPD Officer Lillian Preciado.

A search perimeter was been set up between Tujunga Avenue and Lankershim Boulevard from Miranda Street to Emelita Street.

Nearby Maurice Sendak Elementary School was placed on lockdown as a precaution, according to Los Angeles School Police Department.

The lockdown was lifted before 2 p.m.
