A collision between a station wagon and a medical facility sent three women to the hospital, at least two of whom underwent surgery Thursday afternoon.
One woman was recovering in stable condition, while another was still in surgery and listed as critical as of 5:30 p.m., said Lysa Barry with Northridge Hospital Medical Center.

The crash happened about 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of Vanowen Street and White Oak Avenue.
The driver of a northbound vehicle swerved to avoid a turning vehicle that was southbound on White Oak Avenue, said Commander John Egan.
"(The car) ended up driving up into the parking lot," Egan said. "When that vehicle went up into the parking lot, there was a pedestrian who was struck and hit and pushed up to the front of the dental office."
The station wagon careened into the medical center, pinning two female employees who were behind a counter. One of the women suffered two broken legs.
All three victims were hospitalized in critical condition, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The conditions have been upgraded to serious, according to the hospital.

Three other people were treated and released at the scene, according to the LAFD.
The 82-year-old driver of the station wagon remained at the scene and was uninjured, said LAFD's Matt Spence.
Traffic investigators planned to interview the driver and several witnesses, Egan said.
"It appears the vehicle that was going southbound on White Oak turned in front of that vehicle," Egan said. "That may be, repeat -- may be -- the causative factor."
