Seal Beach

Reward Offered in Deadly Arson

Police issued a $5,000 reward Wednesday for information about an arson fire that killed a man in Seal Beach in April.

Police said they were initially searching for Eric Jesus Andrade, whom they said was wanted for questioning in the case and was never considered a suspect.

They questioned him. He cooperated and was released, said Seal Beach Police Sgt. Mike Henderson.

"We don't have any suspects currently," Henderson said. "We've exhausted all investigative leads."

The fire killed John Donnelly, 67, and his dog on April 30 in an apartment in Seal Beach.

Police said they found evidence of an accelerant outside the two-story duplex in the 200 block of 17th Street, prompting investigators to consider it an arson fire.
