The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped four-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.159, the fifth decrease in six days following a run of 20 increases in 22 days that pushed it to its highest amount since July 21, 2015.
The average price is 1.5 cents less than one week ago, but 57.7 cents more than one month ago and 36.1 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It has risen 89.1 cents since the start of the year.
