Santa Claus, Inc. (SCI) provides critical services to impoverished youth in the Inland /Empire by empowering families through year-round and seasonal programs. SCI was established in 1952 by Mrs. Mignon Schweitzer, with the idea of shopping for free at Santa's "Christmas Workshop" in mind. In 2018, SCI served 107,000 impoverished children in the Inland Empire.
Some of the services it provides are birthday bags, school supplies, clothing and hygiene items. The entire warehouse (6,600 sq ft and 31 storage containers) is run by volunteers. The warehouse is like Santa's Workshop. It has its own sewing department, infant department, clothing department, toy department and the Yes! department (our year-round services).
