Average Gas Price Drops for Seventh Consecutive Day in SoCal

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Tuesday for the seventh consecutive day, decreasing a half-cent to $4.066.

The average price has decreased 5.4 cents over the past seven days, including a half-cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

As the average gas prices continue to climb some motorists have been searching to get more bang for their buck. Gordon Tokumatsu reports for the NBC4 News on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

The average price is one-tenth of a cent more than one month ago and 32.1 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the seventh consecutive day and 10th in the past 11, decreasing 1 cent to $4.034. It has dropped 6.6 cents over the past 10 days, including one-tenth of a cent on Monday.

The Orange County average price is 6.2 cents less than one week ago, but two-tenths of a cent more than one month ago and 32.7 cents higher than one year ago.
