Three people were taken into custody Monday evening following a brief pursuit that ended in a crash in South Los Angeles.
The pursuit started around 10 p.m. at South Broadway and West 56th Street in the South Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
The driver was wanted for driving a possible stolen car, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Newton Division. Police believe the passenger was also armed.
At one point, aerial footage from NewsChopper 4 showed a passenger hanging out the back window, taunting the officers in pursuit.
The driver ran several red lights and stop signs, eventually losing control and hitting a pole at South Vermont Avenue and West 98th Street.
