Speeders Targeted in Pasadena

The Pasadena Police Department will conduct red light and speed enforcement programs on Thursday.

The red light enforcement program will be conducted between 6 a.m. and noon, with the ultimate goal of reducing serious injuries and fatal collisions.

The speed enforcement program will be conducted between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. in an attempt to educate the public about safe driving habits.

"Drivers must slow down and obey the speed limits while commuting to help ensure they arrive at their destination safely," said Police Chief Phillip L. Sanchez.

Funding for both programs comes from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
