Surveillance Images Show SoCal Kidnapping Suspects

Authorities released surveillance images Thursday in the case of a 3-year-old boy kidnapped from his San Bernardino home at gunpoint.

The images show two suspects and a vehicle sought by police.

Briant Rodriguez of San Bernardino was seized by two armed men who entered his home about 2:30 p.m. Sunday and tied up his family, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

An AMBER alert was issued, but freeway signs were not activated because no description was available of the vehicle the kidnappers may have been driving, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The gunmen ransacked the home, took cash and property, then left with the boy and warned the family not to call the police, said San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman Cindy Beavers. She said the motive for the kidnapping was not immediately clear.

The kidnappers were described as thin, light-skinned Hispanic men. One is believed to be about 18 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and was wearing blue jeans, a green T-shirt and a black baseball cap. The other is believed to be about 24 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and was wearing a black shirt, black pants and boots, and a white bandanna.

Briant is 3 feet tall, weighs about 40 pounds, and was wearing a yellow shirt with blue sleeves, blue striped shorts and sandals.
