Teddy bears are supposed to be soft and cuddly, not "hard and crinkly."
That's how Joshua Vecchione, the owner of Toy Town in Ladera Ranch, described a bear he received in a shipment last week. He discovered why after opening the 2-foot-tall bear.
It was stuffed with three large, vacuum-sealed packs of marijuana. The package was addressed to a Colorado residence and mailed from Thousand Oaks. The toy store was labeled as the return address.
Police confiscated, and possibly hugged, the bear.
