A man sought after a report of a fight at Venice Beach ran into the ocean Wednesday morning before officers took him into custody.
It was not immediately clear how many people were assaulted. Details regarding injuries were not immediately available.
Aerial video showed the man in swim trunks walking in the water. Several officers approached the man in shallow water and took him into custody just before 9 a.m.
